Did you know The Health & Safety at Work Act requires all employers to take appropriate steps to ensure the health, safety and welfare, by way of provision of safe place of work including access / egress, safe system of work, safe plant / equipment / appliances and competent fellow employees. This includes not only responsibility to their employees but also visitors, temporary workers, contractors and anyone who may be affected by their business activities including members of the public.

The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regs. requires all employers to carry out "suitable & sufficient" risk assessments and if involving five or more employees these must be in writing, in addition to the appointment of a "competent person"
