Accident & Incident Investigation

The Economic Cost of Accidents / Incidents can be divided into the known or quantifiable or insured costs, which could be likened to the tip of an iceberg, with the uninsured or unknown or un-quantifiable cost being the hidden or unseen consequences of an accident / incident.

Like the iceberg this can be by far the larger proportion of the economic burden suffered by your company or organisation.

P D Consultancy have many years and in depth experience in the area of Accident / Incident Investigation and Report Writing having worked for many years in the loss adjusting profession both nationally and internationally at senior / managing director level.

Under the health & safety at work act employers have a general duty to report prescribed accidents and dangerous occurrences to the health & safety executive.

Accident / Incident Investigation is a management tool to ensure that following an accident or incident-near miss, the underlying causes, both technical & organisational, are identified, lessons learnt and remedial action is taken to prevent reoccurrences.

P D Consultancy does not attempt to allocate blame but rather to establish the direct & indirect causes of the accident / incident. P D Consultancy can assist in helping you establish an accident / Incident investigation & reporting policy & procedure.
